We built this site to give people a clear, honest picture of Individual Voluntary Arrangements, and the alternatives, before they make a decision that affects them for years.

Debt is stressful, and the information about how to deal with it is often confusing or one-sided. We wanted to create something different: a place that explains IVAs in plain English, sets out the real downsides as well as the benefits, and always points to the free advice you are entitled to.
We believe an IVA is the right answer for some people and the wrong answer for others. So we try to help you work out which group you are in, rather than push you towards a sale. If a Debt Relief Order, a debt management plan, or simply free advice would serve you better, we say so.
We provide information and, if you ask, can introduce you to [a regulated provider]. We are not a charity and we are not the Insolvency Practitioner. We do not give you personal financial advice through this website, and we do not replace the free, impartial services we signpost.
